Food
The easiest way to get an affordable and tasty meal is to visit the "Mensa" at the Fachhochschule. The Mensa offers warm meals (with and without meat) and a salad bar. Furthermore, the Fachhochschule has a cafeteria, where you can get sandwiches, cake, beverages or candy.

The cities offer a variety of supermarkets and grocery stores. Asian, Indian or Arabic food, which is not offered in all supermarkets, can be found in smaller stores or "Asia Shops". Organic food is sold in supermarkets and health food stores (Reformhaus).
Furthermore, you can buy fresh fruit, vegetables and meat directly from the local producers at the regular Market Days.
