 Accident Insurance at the THM

The students of the THM are insured against accidents during lectures, excursions, practical training etc., as well as on their way to and from the Fachhochschule.

The insurance covers first aid, rehabilitation measures and/or compensations. For more information about the insurance benefits contact the International Office or the Studentenwerk.

The responsible insurance company is the "Unfallkasse Hessen". In case of an accident please inform the attending physician about this insurance and inform the Studentenwerk as well, since it is the contact partner between the Unfallkasse and the students.

Private Accident Insurance

The Studentenwerk provides a private accident insurance for students at the THM. The private insurance covers accidents outside the rooms and events of the THM as well as outside the way to and from the Fachhochschule.

Liability Insurance at the Fachhochschule

The Studentenwerk provides a liability insurance for damage done by students in context with the attendance of study activities.
The insurance does not cover liability claims in connection with the use of vehicles, claims from risks that are not directly connected with the participation in study activities and claims that occur because of neglect of duty by an insured person.

Private Liability Insurance

A private liability insurance covers for damage you may do to other people's property outside the THM(i.e. dropping a TV while helping a friend move). You do not necessarily need such an insurance but may consider taking one out.
