Two examples for our cultural and free time activieties:
The orchestra "Applied Sounds", organised by the student union, is open for all students who play an instrument. For further information please look here The sports department offers a variety of sport activities and manages the fitness centre. For more information take a look at the website.

The Wohnheimtutorenprogramm is organised for international students by the Studentenwerk. Every residence hall in Giessen has tutors for international students. The tutors offer advisory and support for the international residents. Furthermore, the tutors organise social events, which are open to all students of the Fachhochschule and the University. The semester-programmes are available at the International Office and in the residence halls.

Gießen and Friedberg offer a variety of social and cultural activities. Theatres, concerts, parties, sports events and activities by the local clubs and associations (Vereine) take place year-round. Please refer to the following links for more information.
