Short Description
Knowledge about and analysis of protein 3D-structures.
Learning Objectives

Students know the main classes and architectures of protein structures. They know how to analyze and visualize structures using different tools. They can present and defend their results in front of the group.

Contents
Secondary structure, folding, structural classes, active centers, protein synthesis, protein modification, 3D-databases, X-ray analysis, diseases mediated by defective proteins, protein-ligand interaction, visualization and analysis using e.g. Pymol.
