Algorithms and Calculation Methods for Image Enhancement, Approaches to Image Evaluation and Feature Extraction.
Learning Objectives

The students know the most significant principles of image processing and their applications and have implemented their own simple image processing system in C. While exploring filtering process they have learned to regard mathematics as a tool for the treatment of signals and to use and, conversely, to realize image processing processes as visualization of calculations. In group work, they learned how abstract formulas can get elements of intuitive communication over visual effects within a semester. Since they have met all the development steps of the desired effect on his mathematical formulation to its coding, they are capable of (some times independently) to recognize the professional "depth" of their interlocutor.
