Short Description

In this course students learn methods for managing and analysing very large, distributed data sets (Big Data) with state-of-the-art technologies from the areas Cloud Computing and NoSQL databases.

Learning Objectives

Students learn different ways of representing very large infor-mation and how this data can be distributed on large clustered systems. They are able to manage and analyse information with state-of-the-art technologies and with the algorithms learned in this course. The students know the fundamental principles of knowledge representation and are able to apply them to analysis of big data.
