For working with LaTeX, we offer the course LaTeX - Typesetting technical/scientific texts with LaTeX , alternating between Friedberg and Gießen .
The first part of the course demonstrates how to work with the system and its capabilities. It also briefly covers the most important rules of typography. Afterward, participants will be able to begin working with LaTeX. The following topics are the focus of the first part:
- Getting started with LaTeX
- Mathematical formulas
- Integration of tables, figures and quotations
- How cross-references to figures, tables and chapters work
- Convert existing texts to LaTeX
- Interaction with other scientific programs, such as Mathematica and Citavi
The second part presents a LaTeX template for writing a thesis at THM.
The presentation will be supplemented by:
- Exercises
- Your individual questions about LaTeX
- Support with the installation of LaTeX
