How do THM members obtain an overleaf license?
To use an Overleaf license, please proceed as follows:
- If you are a member of the MNI department, please request one of the department licenses (Overleaf Community Edition) at the URL https://overleaf.mni.thm.de/login
- If you are a member of another department, please write to us using your THM email address This email address is protected against spambots! JavaScript must be enabled to view it! and include "Overleaf" in the subject line.
- We will set up your Overleaf Premium license and notify you via our ticketing system. We will also send you an invitation email from Overleaf. Since we have a limited number of licenses, we may not be able to make the license available to you immediately. In this case, we will first notify you that you have been placed on our waiting list. As soon as a license becomes available, you will automatically receive the invitation email from Overleaf (see next step).
- We will send you an invitation email from Overleaf.
- After receiving the invitation email, register using your THM email address and a password of your choice.
- Confirm your THM email address using the numerical code you will receive by email.
- Please accept our invitation.
- If you wish to use Single Sign-On (SSO) after successful registration, meaning logging into Overleaf with your THM university ID, click on "Set up SSO". However, please remember your chosen password so you can continue using the Overleaf Free Plan after your Premium license expires.
Overleaf Free Plan: After 6 months (from the date of delivery of the invitation email), your Premium license will be revoked and you will automatically be enrolled in the Overleaf Free Plan. You will no longer be able to log in via SSO. However, you can still log in to access your writing projects. Please note the limitations of the Overleaf Free Plan .
Should you require an extension of your Premium license, please reply to the message from our ticketing system, which you received during the registration process, before the 6-month period expires, and specify how long you would like the license extended to complete your writing projects. The maximum extension period is 6 months.
