If the status is "available" or "for on-site use only", you can take the book directly from the shelf.

The area code indicates the location as Gießen or Friedberg.

The call number indicates the exact location on the shelf, for example, 675 175. The call number consists of:

  • an alphabetical abbreviation of the subject area,
    in the example: we = economy
  • a sequence of numbers to subdivide the subject area,
    in the example: we 675 = General Business Administration
  • a continuous count,
    in the example: we 675 175

Books marked "available" can be borrowed via our self-service terminals scanner is available for books marked "for on-site use only" .
