The university library provides members of the THM with the reference management software "Citavi" (Citavi for Microsoft Windows and Citavi Web for all operating systems) and "EndNote" (Microsoft Windows and MacOS) free of charge. Literature management software supports collecting, organizing and citation of literature.
Both programs provide citation styles (APA, Harvard, IEEE etc.) that can be used to automatically create references and lists of references.
Citavi
research
Citavi supports you in all steps of academic work. That starts with the research. With the Citavi Picker, bibliographic data and full texts can be “picked up” from catalogues, databases or PDFs. When you enter the ISBN (International Standard Book Number) or DOI (Digital Object Identifier), Citavi imports the necessary bibliographic data.
knowledge organization
The "knowledge organization" helps to bring order to the collected information. It provides several tools for this. The literature can be categorized and organized. Quotations can be taken from each text, arranged systematically and combined with your own ideas and first text drafts. In this way, the stock of information and knowledge on the work topic is constantly growing.
Quote
Citavi also supports the writing of academic papers.
The software works with almost all word processing programs - including LaTeX editors. With a click of the mouse, the collected quotations and thoughts are transferred to the text and bibliographical references to the footnote. After selecting one of over 10,000 citation styles, Citavi automatically creates a bibliography.
