BliZ "Study Centre for Blind and Disabled Students with 13 expert staff are dedicated to international exchange at THM. Drawing on 28 years of experience, our unit is Germany’s most internationalized study centre for disabled students. We provide highly personalized advice on your placement abroad at or from our University. BliZ collaborate tightly with THM's and partner universities' International Offices to enable seamless curricula, guaranteed lectures in English, preferred affordable and accessible housing around campus, inclusive activities, and technical aids.

We maintain a strategic collaboration with the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD, reaping most from their generous individual funding opportunities:

Erasmus+ financial grants

  • monthly, country-specific grants for living expenses between 200-600 €.
    subsidy for sustainable travel (Green Travel Top up) 50 € + up to 4 subsidized travel days
    with a disability or proven chronic illness with additional financial needs: additional monthly grants | fixed amount 250 € (Honorary Declaration Social Top-ups) or
  • DAAD special grant up to 15,000 €/semester or 30,000 €/year on application (funding of additional costs of accessible accommodation, travel assistance, medical care abroad, adaptation of learning materials, an accompanying person, Funding for preparatory travel etc.).
