Our state-of-the-art and practice-oriented course contents are guaranteed by numerous research and development projects in collaboration with our partners from the industries as well as both national and foreign institutions.

Latest subjects in focus are modeling and control of ion thrusters for satellites, the power management of micro and mini cogeneration units, subjects in the areas mobile communications and industrial communications, the design of application-specific integrated circuits, the development of optical sensors and digital image processing as well as modeling of new nanostructured devices in electronics.

Currently, our department supervises doctoral canditates in collaboration with the universities of Kassel, Giessen and Marburg as well as Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Tarragona, Spain).
