Centre of Competence for Nanotechnology and Photonics
The interdisciplinary Centre of Competence for Nanotechnology and Photonics (NanoP) comprises electrotechnical research across the entire range from nano-electronics through to aerospace electronics and brings together expertise from the Departments of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (EI), Information Technology-Electrical Engineering-Mechatronics (IEM) and Mechanical Engineering and Energy Technology (ME). The research work of all members of the NanoP centre of competence focuses on developing and applying simulations, modelling, designs and tests.

Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Systems
The Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Systems (LEA) was created in 2014 and is part of our university-wide "etem.THM - Power Engineering and Management" research center. In this interdisciplinary and department-overarching collaboration, education and research in power engineering are combined.
