The master's program Digital Medicine focuses on the subject areas of modern medicine thatare necessary for the digitization of the healthcare sector. It builds on a completed bacheloror diploma degree in the healthcare sector. The completed degree qualifies students to putscientific research into practice as well as perform strategic and management tasks in thefield of digital medicine. The main areas divide into medical data science, applied medicalsciences and regulatory affairs management..

The importance of the digitalization of communication, procedures and processes as well astechnical innovation is rising drastically. Due to an increasing amount of data and networkingopportunities, new possibilities for diagnostics, therapy and prevention are emerging. Incollaboration with physicians and other healthcare players, we want to help shape these newpossibilities for the benefit of patients. Our teaching hospital (BDH) in Braunfels, which isunique in Germany, and our application laboratories in the modern simulation clinic of theHealth Department in Giessen form a very good basis for this

Duration of study

The course of studies can be started in the winter and summer semesters. The standardstudy period is four semesters.

Admission requirements

Admission requirement for this study program is a completed university education in thehealthcare sector. The completed university education should include the specialty ofmedical informatics, medical engineering, medical management, medicine or human biology.A final grade of at least "good" (2.5 or better) is also required. Students must specify themajor field of study. The chosen specialization determines which specialization the first-degree program must have:
