The master’s program Public Health focusses on the analyses of social, political and healthdevelopment patterns of the population as well as the conception and evaluation ofinnovative types of care. The main goal is the evaluation and optimization of healthcare andtherefore the health of individuals. Furthermore, this study program enables to concentrateon the health services research sector and rehabilitation.

The study program builds on a completed bachelor's or diploma degree in medicalmanagement or a related study program in the healthcare sector. The master’s degreequalifies to scientific research as well as the execution of strategic tasks and leadershipduties in the healthcare sector

Duration of study

The course of studies can be started in the winter and summer semesters. The standardstudy period is three semesters.

Admission requirements

Admission requirement for this study program is a completed university education in thehealthcare sector. The completed university education should include the specialty ofmedical management or a related subject. A final grade of at least "good" (2.5 or better) isalso required. The master's program in Public Health is based on a completed first-degreeprogram of at least seven semesters at a university with a total study volume of 210 creditpoints

The program concludes with the academic degree Master of Science (M.Sc.)
