The working group biosignal analysis deals with the acquisition and evaluation of electric and acoustic signals from the human body. Its focus is the development of algorithms for the analysis of breathing and sleeping sounds. In this regard, methods for the detection of pathological events such as coughing and snoring have been implemented. Furthermore, the members of the working group are developing algorithms for the acoustic detection of respiratory phases as well as the heart rate. Data collection and algorithm development are mainly conducted with the programming environments LabView and Matlab.
