Centre of Competence for Automotive, Mobility and Materials Research (AutoM)

The interdisciplinary Centre of Competence for Automotive, Mobility and Materials Research (AutoM) brings together expertise from the Departments of Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Technlogy (M), Mechanical Engineering and Energy Technology (ME), Information Technology-Electrical Engineering-Mechatronics (IEM), Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Data Processing (MND) and Civil Engineering (BAU).

The often application-based research of its members is at the cutting edge of development and testing of new materials, among others in lightweight engineering, as well as digital product development and manufacturing processes. Intelligent and sustainable mobility provides the framework for the work in the centre of competence, including the development of low-emission vehicles.
