superus Datenmanagement
superus Datenmanagement GmbH - "superus data management company" (Applicant)
Founded in 2011, superus Datenmanagement GmbH is headquartered in Burgwald, Hesse, Germany. The company has been involved in developing and distributing production-related data acquisition systems, as well as providing IT services for industry.
In 2012, the company developed its first proprietary product: the Integrated Process Optimization System (IPOS). IPOS was successfully tested at a medium-sized company on 14 production lines. IPOS is a classic operating and machine data acquisition system that has been continuously developed and supplemented with additional modules for production planning, process data acquisition, and energy data acquisition in subsequent years. IPOS is now installed in more than 1,500 locations across approximately 60 customers, most of whom are in Germany.
Since 2017, superus has been an authorized consulting company in the go-digital funding program for the modules IT security, digital market development, and digital business processes, thus taking the step into product-independent consulting for suitable IT solutions. The team consists mainly of software developers with academic backgrounds. Its core competencies lie in writing customized software, recording production and machine data with the selection of appropriate sensor technology, and the statistical processing of recorded data sets.
G.E. HABICH'S SÖHNE
G.E. HABICH'S SÖHNE GmbH & Co. KG (industrial partner)
G.E. HABICH's SÖHNE GmbH & Co. is based in Reinhardshagen in northern Hesse and was founded in Kassel in 1785. The company has over 235 years of experience producing color concentrates for plastics and emulsion paints, as well as numerous specialty products. Habich Farben meets the everyday challenges of the food industry, cosmetics, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, the automotive sector, household products, sports, leisure, and unusual color effects, material combinations, and small quantities.
As a pure contract manufacturer, Habich Farben creates custom colors and properties in its paint factory according to customer specifications. Habich Farben employs 105 people to manufacture its products and has access to a machine park with over 125 systems for homogenizing and dispersing product components. Habich Farben has over 80,000 recipes, of which approximately 5,400 are active. Four colorists in the application technology department sample approximately 1,800 new colors each year. These experts are supported by three certified chemists in the development department, who are also responsible for product safety.
Superus has been supporting the company in digitizing its production area since 2016. Through this collaboration, Superus became aware of the issue of avoidable additives. The introduction of operational and machine data collection has allowed us to collect large amounts of production data in recent years that we can use in the proposed project.
