Short Bio

Seyed Eghbal Ghobadi is a professor of computer vision and machine learning at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen. He studied Electrical Engineering at Technical University of Braunschweig and received his PhD in 2010 from Center for Sensor Systems at University of Siegen in the field of computer vision and machine learning.

Prior to joining Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, he worked at Opel / General Motors as an Algorithm Design Engineer, focusing on driving assistance system projects. Additionally, he held the position of AI Technical Specialist in the Advanced Engineering Department of Opel / PSA / Stellantis Group, where his primary focus was on the use of artificial intelligence for automated driving and making AI safe for the highly automated driving.

He has a keen interest in the application of deep learning in computer vision, as well as quality assurance for artificial intelligence, esp. in the field of automated driving.
