Seit Mai 2022 bin ich Professor für Softwaretechnik an der THM in Gießen. Vor meinem Wechsel an die THM war ich als Projektleiter 'Systems Engineering' und als Systemarchitekt im Geschäftsbereich 'E-Mobilität' bei einem der führenden Zulieferunternehmen im Automotive- und Industriesektor tätig. Zuvor habe ich mehr als zehn Jahre die Gruppe 'Requirements Engineering und konzeptueller Entwurf' am Ruhr-Institut für Software-Technology (paluno) an der Universität Duisburg-Essen geleitet.
Nach dem Abitur an der Peter-Paul-Cahensly-Schule in Limburg an der Lahn habe ich an der Universität Koblenz-Landau Informatik studiert. Anschließend bin ich an die Universität Duisburg-Essen gewechselt und habe dort im Fachgebiet 'Software Engineering' meine Doktorarbeit verfasst. Im Herbst 2019 bin ich zur Wahrnehmung einer Vertretungsprofessur (W3) für Praktische Informatik nochmals an das Institut für Softwaretechnik der Universität Koblenz-Landau zurückgekehrt.

I have been Professor of Software Engineering at THM in Gießen since May 2022. Before joining THM, I worked as a project manager 'Systems Engineering' and as a system architect in the business unit 'E-Mobility' for one of the leading supplier companies in the automotive and industrial sector. Before that, I led the 'Requirements Engineering and Conceptual Design' group at the Ruhr Institute for Software Technology (paluno) at the University of Duisburg-Essen for more than ten years.
After graduating from the Peter-Paul-Cahensly-Schule in Limburg an der Lahn, I studied computer science at the University of Koblenz-Landau. I then moved to the University of Duisburg-Essen and eventually finished my doctoral thesis in the field of 'Software Engineering'. In autumn 2019, I returned as an acting full professor for practical computer science to the Institute of Software Engineering at the University of Koblenz-Landau.
