Monika Maria Möhring ist Dekanin des Fachbereichs Management und Kommunikation der Technischen Hochschule Mittelhessen mit Standorten in Gießen und Friedberg und Geschäftsführende Direktorin des BliZ Zentrums für Blinde und Schwerbehinderte Studierende. Sie ist Professorin für Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaft, Logistik und Innovationsmanagement. Ihr Werdegang umfasst eine Promotion in Wirtschaftswissenschaften an der Strathclyde University, Glasgow, einen MBA an der University of Lincoln, UK, und ein Diplom in Chemie an der Universität Bayreuth.
Aufgrund ihres beruflichen Hintergrundes in IT-Programmierung und Management, diagnostiziert und systematisiert ihr Forschungsansatz die Schnittstellen in Lieferketten von Produktion, Wartung und Instandhaltung und IT in hochtechnologisierten internationalen Großkonzernen. Ihr Forschungsansatz verfeinert die Forschungs- und Kontrollansätze für Manager und Forscher mittels neu entwickelter diagnostischer und planerischer Instrumente mit dem Ziel, die Synergien und das Gleichgewicht in nachhaltigen Innovations-zentrierten Lieferbeziehungen zu optimieren. Sie unterhält Forschungskooperationen mit der ISCTE-IUL Lissabon, der Universität Coimbra und der Universität Palermo.
Monika Maria Möhring lehrt in den akkreditierten Studiengängen in Logistik-Management (B.Sc.) und Supply Chain Management (M.Sc.). Sie betreut Bachelor- und Masterarbeiten in Kooperation mit führenden Konzernen und Mittelständlern. Diese Unternehmen gehören vor allem dem Automotive-, Pharmazeutischen und Klinik-Sektor an und befinden sich in Rhein-Main, Mittelhessen und in Frankfurt sowie in den Großräumen Stuttgart und München.
Monika Maria Möhring ist Mitglied der European Operations Management Association (EurOMA) und der Industrial Marketing and Purchasing (IMP) Group. Für die IARIA Konferenz fungiert sie als akademisches Vorstandsmitglied und verantwortet einen speziellen Bereich "Digitale Barrierefreiheit". Sie wurde zum Reviewer für das International Journal of Operations and Production Management (Emerald), Logistics Research (LORE), dem Journal IEEE, das International Council for Small Businesses sowie die EurOMA bestellt. Ferner ist sie bestellte Gutachterin des Akkreditierungsorgans AQAS. Sie ist Visiting Professor an der ISCTE-IUL in Lissabon, an der UNIFOR Fortaleza sowie an der Universität Palermo.

Monika Maria Möhring is the Dean of the Management and Communication department at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences in Friedberg, Germany. She is professor of Business, Logistics and Innovation Management and the Managing Director of the BliZ Study Centre for Blind and Disabled Students. She officiates as the CEE member of the global Technical Advisory Group on Assistive Technologies of the World Health Organization WHO. Her academic background comprises a PhD in Economics at Strathclyde University, Glasgow, an MBA at University of Lincoln, and a Master of Chemistry.
Drawing on a professional background in industrial IT programming and management, her interdisciplinary approach diagnoses and organises the supply chain interfaces of operations, processes, MRO, and information technology in high tech environments of multinational corporations. Monika Maria Moehring actively seeks to shape the research agenda for B2B networks and to develop diagnostic and instrumental tools for both management and scholars, to optimise synergies and balance in innovation for a sustainable value co-development in long-term inter-organisational industrial partnerships. She maintains research collaborations with ISCTE-IUL Lissabon, University of Coimbra and Palermo University.
Monika Maria Möhring teaches in various disciplines of the accredited courses in Logistics Management (B.Sc.) and Supply Chain Management (M.Sc.). She supervises bachelor and master theses in collaboration with industry-leading corporate firms. These enterprises are mainly in the automotive, pharmaceutical and clinics sector and located in the Rhein-Main metropolitan area around Frankfurt, in the Stuttgart as well as in Munich metropolitan area.
Monika Maria Möhring is a member of the European Operations Management Association (EurOMA), and the Industrial Marketing and Purchasing (IMP) Group. For IARIA Conference she acts as an academic member of the Board and presides a special track "Digital Accessibility".She is appointed reviewer of the International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Logistics Research (LORE), IEEE, the Journal of Small Businesses, the European Operations Management Association and the Industrial Marketing and Purchasing Group Conference. Moreover, she acts as an evaluator for the accreditation authority AQAS. Prof. Möhring is Visiting Professor at ISCTE-IUL in Lisbon, UNIFOR University of Fortaleza, and at University of Palermo. She is a member of various scientific boards, such as for the annual International Conference on Advancing Sustainable Futures of the Abu Dhabi University, and a Fellow of the IARIA.
Monika Maria Möhring is the Managing Director and head of research of the Study Center for Blind and Disabled Students, BliZ, at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, Germany. With 13 permanent staff, BliZ has been an independently state-funded institution under the roof of the University for 28 years, with a unique standing in the German higher education landscape and in international academic exchange for the severely disabled.
Monika Maria Möhring’s scientific approach to inclusive information technology is interdisciplinary and user-centric, focusing on facilitation in higher education and at the workplace for blind and disabled persons. She collaborates tightly with special need schools, employers of BliZ’ graduates, and government authorities. One of her latest initiatives has been aiming at the inclusion of neurodiverse, such as autistic, students.
