Methoden des wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens, Literaturrecherche und Zitierweise, Präsentation des Thesis-Proposals

Qualifikations- und Lernziele

Participants will learn to apply their theoretical skills achieved in this program to their research for a master thesis. They will learn to develop their thesis design and present it to a peer group and supervisors.

Lerninhalte

In the master thesis, candidates are expected to use their theoretical understanding to deal with an issue taken from the practical business world in a methodologically correct manner.
Against this background, students will broaden and deepen their knowledge on methodological concepts and theories (based on scientific theories) and learn about the essential steps and formal guidelines to successfully conduct their master thesis project (e.g., finding a topic, deriving research questions and hypotheses etc.). They will have the opportunity to discuss the topic of their thesis with experts and peers in this seminar. By presenting a thesis topic proposal, individual research methodology can be monitored and any resulting feedback can be used by the student to the advantage of his/her thesis.
