- Study-related Standard Situations: The course material consists of texts and tasks o cover the most relevant study-related situations.
- English for Specific Purposes: We aim to provide our learners with the lexical/functional tools necessary to read, understand, discuss and write about more specific subject matters relating to their field. Thus the students become acquainted with their subjects and practice the pronunciation of their specific terminology. Additionally they will have to deal with scientific articles to be discussed orally and in writing by presenting the main aspects in combination with their personal ideas and comments. Within all these topics the four skills (writing, reading, listening and speaking) will be practised. If necessary, certain grammar areas will be reviewed according to learners' needs. Furthermore students' individual wishes concerning the contents of this module can be taken into account.
