Short Description

Fundamentals and design knowledge of molecular diagnostics. Diagnostic strategies. Carriers and testing systems. Biomarkers. Immunoassays (ELISA, immune PCR, western blot). Rapid tests (dipstick, lateral flow, multiplex assays). PCR (real-time PCR, digital PCR). Mutation analyses (SNP genotyping, DNA fingerprinting). Microarray-based methods (CGH arrays, SNP arrays, protein and antibody arrays). Practical application examples.
