Short Description

The course teaches the business analytics process and how this process can be used to solve an economic problem.

Learning Objectives

The students…

  • Know the basics and the importance of Business Analytics.
  • Know the term ”Big Data” and know how this kind of data can be used to solve an economic problem.
  • Are able to use the Business Analytics process
  • Know the difference between an economic problem and the analytics problem
  • Know which kind of resources are needed to perform the Business Analytics process
  • Are able to select a proper algorithm for the analyse phase
  • Are able to prepare the results for the individual groups (from a shop floor worker to a general manager)
