    This modul contains the basic knowledge of natural sciences and technologies to understand the IT-Hardware and to perform simple calculations.
    Learning Objectives

    The students get to know the basics of natural sciences and technologies they need to understand the hardware of computers, data networks, multimedia technology and embedded systems. Moreover they get basic knowledge to work in a technical field.

    • electromagnetic waves, propagation of waves, fiber optics
    • magnetism, magnetoresistive effects
    • displays, led, lcd, crt
    • semiconductors, bipolar and field-effect transistors
    • telecommunications, signals, sampling, digitization, modulation, bandwidth, filters
    • control loops, quantum computers
