    Students gain laboratory experience on LAN design and operation, network and protocol analysis, and internet programming.
    Learning Objectives

    Students have gained laboratory experience in the following fields:

    • Design, implementation and operation of local area networks
    • Detailed understanding of client/server interaction

    They are able to solve and present the results of the practice in a team.

    • Paradigms of LAN-design
    • Basics on Routing and network configuration
    • Network and protocol analysis in local area networks
    • Iterative and parallel server programming using the Socket-API
    • Internet programming

    Examination: Realization of project tasks and written report.
