Student Orientation

Students advisory service

Prospective students and students with refugee backgrounds can benefit from an advisory service provided by the university's Students Advisory Service. We can help you decide which degree course to pursue, support you in overcoming problems you encounter with studying and working, and provide advice if you want to change degrees or withdraw from your programme. We can also support you in other areas such as dealing with exam anxiety and self motivation: read more here.

Information events

We organise various information events, often along with Justus Liebig University in Giessen, that are particularly aimed at both refugees interested in studying a degree and the volunteers who help them.

Our current and upcoming events are listed under current information.

Prospective students who are refugees are also more than welcome to attend THM's general information days.

Reach THM Degree Prep

THM offers a wide variety of forward looking degree courses in business administration and engineering and is committed to promoting the integration of refugees by offering them higher education opportunities.

With our Degree Prep Programme we offer refugees interested in pursuing academic degrees the opportunity to take selected modules and participate in the International Buddy Programme while they are still learning German.

REGISTER NOW. The next start date is 27 March 2017.
You must complete a form to take part in the Reach THM Degree Prep Programme. Please submit the form with the required documents by 20 March 2017.

For students wishing to pursue a degree course at THM and have already applied (via uni assist), but cannot begin their course due to insufficient competence in German, the Reach THM Degree Prep Programme provides them with the best opportunity to prepare for their upcoming course at THM.

As a guest student you can take a number of modules in various departments and degree courses (free of charge for interested refugees) that suit your personal interests. You are accompanied by tutors, and the programme also includes a wide variety of module offerings and lectures, which will make it easier for you to decide the degree subject you want to study.
