Practical bridge designs for the "Island of Time"

The "Island of Time" in Weimar-Argenstein aims to depict human life along the Lahn River over the past millennia. The site of the open-air museum, currently under development, requires two river crossings – and students from the Technical University of Central Hesse THMhave provided the designs for them.

Doctoral center “System-integrated engineering science” launches

In the future, engineering graduates will also be able to pursue doctoral studies in their field at Hessian universities of applied sciences (HAW). A corresponding cooperation agreement between RheinMain University of Applied Sciences (HSRM), Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Fulda University of Applied Sciences, and the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen for the joint doctoral center "Systems-Integrated Engineering" was signed by the university administrations. The doctoral center's office is located at HSRM.

“Poor despite wealth”: Exhibition opens in Friedberg

The global economy relies on raw materials such as oil, minerals, and agricultural products. But less visible resources like knowledge and labor are also in demand to satisfy the ever-increasing demand in wealthy countries like Germany. The exhibition "Poor Despite Wealth," on display until mid-December in front of Friedberg Town Hall and in front of Building B1 of the THM Technical University of Central Hesse), explores this tension.

Friedberg Motorsport Team: 1st place for motorcycle design

New innovation impulses for Central Hesse

On Friday evening, the Innovation and Startup Campus Central Hesse (StartMiUp) will present the Innovation Funnel Central Hesse for the first time at the University Library in Marburg. This new project promotes innovation and transformation in Central Hesse by connecting companies with research institutions and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and technologies. It is being implemented in cooperation with the Central Hesse Regional Management and with funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
After more than four years of successful work, StartMiUp is thus developing strategically: from a start-up network exclusively for members of the Justus Liebig University Giessen , the Philipps University Marburg and the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen to an open innovation hub for the entire region.
