Anyone planning new construction, major renovations to existing buildings, or a change of use must submit a building application. For the past few years, the digital building permit process has allowed this to be completed entirely online. For the third time, the Department Civil Engineering at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) and TransMIT GmbH invited stakeholders from the construction industry, IT and software services, and government agencies to a congress to exchange experiences with this digital service.

Open Day: barrier-free studying at THM

"Studying successfully without barriers" – the Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Students (BliZ) at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) has followed this motto for 28 years. At the open day, students from the Marburg blista (German Institute for the Blind) gained an impression of how studying at THM is possible despite a disability.

Whether it's an internship, a semester abroad, or a thesis project in cooperation with a foreign university: THMstudents have many opportunities to broaden their horizons. The International Office of the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) informs students about these opportunities, as well as funding options, during GO OUT Week.
Information booths in Giessen and Friedberg, as well as on-site presentations, were part of the GO OUT week's offerings. "Many students who visited our booth already have concrete ideas about their stay abroad, but they still lack information on topics such as financing or language requirements, or they need clarification on which modules from abroad will be recognized," explains Stefanie Müller-Eibich, Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator at THM.
