A strong signal for the construction industry and Hesse as a startup hub: Startup Factory FUTURY and the newly founded LOVEDIS (formerly StartMiUp-Factory) are entering into a strategic alliance. Together, they are taking the established Futury industry accelerator "The Mission Construction" to the next level. While LOVEDIS will assume the lead for programme management and implementation, FUTURY will remain on board as a co-host and methodological sparring partner – thus ensuring the continuity, expertise, and quality of this successful programme.
Collaboration as the new standard: From idea to industry.
In a phase where the construction and infrastructure sector faces massive transformation challenges, LOVEDIS and FUTURY are focusing on synergy. With "The Mission Construction," FUTURY has created one of Germany's most successful platforms for sustainable construction innovations and helped over 20 Start-ups launch their pilot projects. LOVEDIS will further embed this strong foundation in industrial practice and will now take the lead in this endeavor.
Mara Steinbrenner, CEO of LOVEDIS:
“FUTURY has laid an exceptionally strong foundation on which we are now strategically building. With our already established industry partners from the construction sector, joining forces is the next logical step. Together, we are connecting the relevant players and creating a platform through which Start-ups can directly validate and implement their innovations in practice.”
Melissa Ott, Managing Director of FUTURY:
“With LOVEDIS, we have found a partner who shares the same conviction: Sustainable transformation can only succeed if industry and Start-ups work together. We are delighted to contribute our methodological expertise and jointly develop a program that creates real added value for the construction industry.”
Charlie Müller, Founder & Managing Director of FUTURY:
“'The Mission Construction' has always been more than just an accelerator for FUTURY – it's a platform that truly brings innovation and industry together. With this new alliance, we are creating the conditions to further scale this format and move even closer to operational implementation.” From program to partnership: Validation, scaling, and implementation strength
The Accelerator 2026 focuses on a strong practical orientation: In a three-month, hybrid programme Start-ups work closely with mentors from industry, research, and venture capital. The focus is on rapid validation under real-world conditions: The innovation teams work on concrete questions that come directly from the practical experience of the partner companies.
Industry giants like Lupp, FingerHaus, Weimer Bau, Sälzer Security, Innexus, and other industry players act as "real-world laboratories." This gives Start-ups direct access to construction sites, data, and resources – allowing them to test and further develop their solutions along real-world processes.
Seamless transition to implementation: Pilot projects and co-developments as the target vision.
With the completion of the first stage of The Mission Construction's accelerator, the decisive development step towards market entry begins in the two-stage accelerator program: The focus is on implementation, not just inspiration. The goal in this second stage is a one-on-one accelerator, in the form of supervised pilot projects, long-term customer relationships, or technological co-developments. The program addresses the entire value chain – from digital planning and efficient construction processes to sustainable recycling.
The new distribution of roles creates a cooperative model that combines regional strength with international innovation dynamism. FUTURY's methodological legacy is preserved, while LOVEDIS, as the operational driving force, deepens and expands the connection to the medium-sized construction industry.
This creates a strong alliance to position Hesse as an attractive, European-visible location for construction technology and industrial innovation – based on trust, cooperation and shared implementation power.
