Lecture seriesThe lecture series "Responsibility for the Future" begins in Friedberg on Wednesday, April 15th. It will address sustainability topics in various fields. All events can be followed live on-site or online.

The event kicks off with a collaboration between the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM), the city of Friedberg, and the company Biokaiser at the former beer exchange. Under the motto "Cooperation University – Company – City – Region," the various stakeholders will gather at the beer exchange to present the project and answer questions from the audience. The event begins on April 15th at 7 p.m. at Saarstraße 54 in Friedberg.

The series continues a week later, on April 22nd, with the topic "Sustainability in Dental Care": In addition to providing context, the pilot study "CO2 Footprint of Analog and Digital Impressions" will bepresented. The event begins at 7 p.m. in lecture hall A1.1.01/02 on the THM in Friedberg, Wilhelm-Leuschner-Straße 13.

On April 29th, the lecture series, themed "Shaping the Energy Transition," will take place in Giessen . The topics will include municipal heat planning and the future of heat supply, as well as the regional energy transition from the perspective of the Giessen municipal utilities. The event will be held at 7 p.m. on the workshop stage in room A15.0.25 on the THM campus in Giessen , Wiesenstraße 14.

The series concludes on May 12th with a discussion on the challenges of local politics. Those interested are invited to the Theater Altes Hallenbad in Friedberg, Haagstraße 29, starting at 8 p.m. In addition to insights from a former mayor on municipal transformation – the restructuring of cities and towns towards greater sustainability, digitalization, and climate resilience – there will be a panel discussion.
