Recognition for dedication and commitment: Six more students from the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) receive the Germany Scholarship: Kirsten Moelert (Business Administration), Alessandro Schäfer, Rayan Dongmo, Jakob Hildebrandt (all Energy Technology), Kevin Klauser and Louis Bieber (both Computer Science) are delighted about the funding.

They are benefiting from the scholarship after previous recipients left due to graduation or the end of their standard period of study. At a ceremony organized by Monika Stöckl and David Loch on the Giessen campus, four of them were able to personally receive their certificates. Vice President Prof. Dr. Stephanie Hanrath congratulated them: "The Germany Scholarship recognizes students who demonstrate excellent academic performance and personal commitment while taking on responsibility. We are delighted to be able to support you on your journey."

Thanks to the program, students receive €300 in funding, regardless of their income and in addition to their BAföG student loan. The Germany Scholarship is a program of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. Private donors contribute €150 per month, and the federal government matches this amount. Students apply for the scholarship, and a university selection committee matches donors and students according to established criteria.

The application period for the Deutschlandstipendium 2026/27 ends on August 11, 2026.
