Writing a scientific paper includes researching relevant literature. In the "Fit for the Thesis" course, we will show you how to plan, conduct, and evaluate the research for your thesis.

These topics are the main focus:

  • Analysis of one's own literature needs
  • Search in THMfind, the university library 's search portal
  • Search in literature, full-text and factual databases
  • Search in scientific search engines
  • Search strategies
  • Evaluating the sources found
  • Securing the found sources

Students who already have a topic or idea for a topic will have the opportunity during the event to research their chosen topic and document their findings. Students who don't yet have an idea will receive tips on how to gain an initial overview of current topics.
