Directions and Giessen Campus

By car

From the direction of Kassel

From the A5, take the Reiskirchen exit and follow the B49 to Berliner Platz (city center). You will see the new Giessen town hall on your right and the city theater directly ahead. Turn right at the traffic lights onto Ostanlage . The THM(Technical University of Central Hesse presidium is located on your right in buildings B10 and B11. Approximately 200 meters ahead, you will find further THMDepartments buildings and the information desk in building A22.

From the direction of Marburg

From the B3 Giessen North interchange, take the Giessen Ring (A485) towards Frankfurt. Take the "Ursulum" exit. Turn left towards the University of Applied Sciences (TH Mittelhessen). Drive approximately 1000 meters into the city along Eichgärtenallee. Then turn right onto Ringallee. The THMDepartments buildings are located on the left, including the information desk in building A22.

From the direction of Büdingen, Hanau, Würzburg

Take the A45 to the Giessen South interchange, then take the A485 towards Giessen . At exit 33 " Giessen South interchange", merge onto the A485 towards Marburg/ Giessen /Linden. Take exit B457 towards GI-Licher Straße/City Center. Follow Licher Straße. Continue on Molkestraße until you reach Ostanlage. INFO is located in building A22, and other Departments buildings are on the right-hand side.

From the direction of Butzbach, Frankfurt, Friedberg

Take the A485 to the Schiffenberger Weg exit. Then head towards the city center; Schiffenberger Weg leads to Bismarckstraße. Continue until it intersects with Südanlage. Turn right there. You will see the Stadttheater (City Theatre) on your left and the Kongresshalle (Congress Hall) on your right. At the traffic lights, continue straight ahead onto Ostanlage. The presidium is located on your right in buildings B10 and B11. Approximately 200 meters ahead, you will find further Departments buildings and the INFO office in building A22.

From the direction of Wetzlar, Herborn

Leave the B49 at the Giessen -West exit, continue along Rodheimer Straße to the railway underpass, and turn right onto Westanlage. Go under the Selterstor (Elephant Toilet) and continue along Südanlage. At the Berliner Platz intersection (you'll see the Stadttheater on your left and the Kongresshalle on your right), continue straight ahead onto Ostanlage. The presidium is located on your right in buildings B10 and B11. Approximately 200 meters ahead, you'll find other THMDepartments buildings and the INFO office in building A22.

Parking

Around the THM campus, there are public parking spaces that can be used with a parking disc or ticket. On campus, there are also THM-owned parking spaces that can be accessed with a chip card. THMvisitors can park in these spaces. Please ring the bell at the barrier. Parking locations are marked on the campus map below.

By public transport

You can reach THM from Giessen train station by taking bus line 2 (stop Berliner Platz) or line 5 (stop Behördenzentrum or Landgericht).

Berliner Platz stop

From the Berliner Platz stop, the THMcampus is about a 4-minute walk. Turn right at the traffic lights and head towards Ostanlage. Continue straight along Ostanlage . After 350 meters, you will be on the THMcampus.

Bus stop at the government center

The Behördenzentrum (Government Center) bus stop is located in the immediate vicinity of the THMcampus. On the right-hand side of the bus stop, in the direction of travel, you will find the presidium in buildings B10 and B11. Continue straight ahead for approximately 250 meters along Wiesenstraße to find the Departments buildings and the INFO office in building A22.

Landgericht stop

From the Landgericht (Regional Court) bus stop, the THM campus is about a 4-minute walk. Walk straight ahead against the direction of travel at the Landgericht; after approximately 400 meters you will be on the THM campus. The Departments buildings are located on the left-hand side of Wiesenstraße, and the INFO office is in building A22 on the right-hand side.
