The IELTS Academic certificate is an internationally recognized proof of English language proficiency, accepted by many universities and employers. It classifies English language levels from A1 to C2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). Since the test is also recognized by many American universities, it offers an alternative to the TOEFL.
