Every Bachelor's and Master's degree programme at THM has an examination board. The examination board is responsible for ensuring that the examination regulations are followed. It decides on all matters concerning the examination procedure and has the right to be present during examinations.

In particular, he is responsible for the following tasks (see § 15a AB):

• Appointment of the examiners and assessors;
• in agreement with the dean's office, the setting of examination dates and registration deadlines;
• Admissions to modules and services;
• Decisions based on the General Provisions for Bachelor's and Master's Examination Regulations, such as:
  decisions on alternative forms of examination according to § 6 para. 6 and 7 of the A(AB);
  decisions on absence and withdrawal according to § 11 of the AB;
  decisions on cheating, disruption and breach of order according to § 11a of the AB;
  decisions on passing or failing examinations according to § 12 of the AB;
  decisions on retaking assessments and crediting of failed attempts according to § 13 of the AB;
  crediting of modules and achievements as well as the practical phase according to § 14.

The examination committee may delegate tasks to the chairperson and, in carrying out its duties, particularly regarding the day-to-day administration of examinations, may utilize the expertise of the responsible staff members within the Department . Decisions of the examination committee are made by the chairperson or their deputy.
