An appeal against an examination decision can be lodged with the President via the Central Examination Office of THM .

  • Please explain in detail why you consider the examination decision (e.g. the assessment of an examination performance) to be unjustified (burden of proof).
  • Your examiner or examination committee (chairperson) must submit a statement on this.
  • The Central Examination Office will decide on your appeal.
  • In the case of a final examination and thus a final failure, the respective notification usually contains information on legal remedies, i.e., from receipt of the notification you have one month to file a written objection.
  • If the decision does not contain information on legal remedies, your objection period is one year.
  • If the objection is rejected, you have one month from the date of delivery to file a lawsuit with the Administrative Court Giessen .
