International crises or difficult personal situations can be very stressful and significantly impact your studies. During such times, it can be difficult to concentrate, meet deadlines, or take exams.
THM supports you in these situations individually, fairly, and within the framework of applicable regulations.

Are there special regulations for certain countries or nationalities?
There are no general special regulations for specific nationalities.
However, if you are affected due to personal or exceptional circumstances, you can submit an individual application to the examination board of your degree programme. Each application will be reviewed according to the applicable examination regulations and taking into account the individual circumstances.

What kind of support is generally possible?
Depending on the individual situation and course of study, the following measures, among others, may be considered:
- Extension of submission deadlines
- Postponement of exam dates
- Flexible examination regulations, provided the examination regulations allow it
- Compensation for disadvantages upon request
- Leniority will be shown in case of missed deadlines, provided these were not the customer's own fault
- Individual solutions for attendance requirements
Important: The technical requirements remain unchanged. The aim of these measures is to compensate for temporary disadvantages, not to reduce the content requirements.
In what situations can you contact us?
For example, you can contact the relevant authorities in the following cases:
- In cases of severe psychological stress, e.g., worry about family, sleep or concentration problems
- If you have problems with internet access or communication
- In case of difficulties obtaining important documents on time
- For short-term trips or absences for important personal reasons
Do I need to provide proof?
In many cases, a clear and understandable explanation of your situation is sufficient. You should not be burdened with unnecessary or difficult-to-obtain documentation. Whether documentation is required is always decided on a case-by-case basis.
