Welcome to the purchasing department of the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen ! 

We would like to give you a brief overview of our tasks and activities.

Purchasing is a subject area within the Budget Department and thus belongs to the "Central Areas" that report to the Vice President with Chancellor function. 

The purchasing department is responsible for ALL procurement processes that are not explicitly assigned to another department.

Framework agreements / price agreements 

For recurring, similar purchases (such as office supplies, office furniture, seminar chairs, and gases), THM is bound by fixed framework agreements. In addition, various (price) agreements exist with companies. Both are reflected in the purchasing department's enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Public procurement law / procurement procedures 

As a public contracting authority THM is bound by the so-called procurement law (which includes all regulations/rules on the awarding of public contracts) and therefore usually awards its contracts, especially for larger sums, through procurement procedures.

If you are looking for current tenders from THM , you will find them in the information for companies and external parties .

A good overview of the regulations applicable in Hesse can be found on the pages of the Hessen Procurement Advisory Center (Auftragsberatungsstelle Hessen eV) or on the Intra Wiki pages of the purchasing department.

Since it is a very complex topic, the purchasing department is happy to advise THM employees on upcoming projects or major procurement initiatives.
