Education at THM
THM regularly trains students in the following professions:
- IT specialist for system integration
- IT specialist for application development
- Administrative Assistant
- Office Management Clerk
- Sports and fitness saleswoman/woman
- Chemical laboratory technician
- Electronics Technician
- Carpenter
- Industrial mechanic

Internships at the THM
What internships can be completed at THM and what should be taken into account?
- Mandatory school internship for career orientation
(these usually last two to three weeks) - Internship during the 11th grade (university entrance qualification):
Schools usually provide students with a contract template. Please include this with your application. - Full-time year-long internship for the recognition of university entrance qualification (after grade 12)
- Please include a school certificate with your application, which proves that this is a mandatory internship based on examination regulations (§ 48 paragraph 6 sentence 4 OAVO)
- The internship is full-time, lasts for one year, and requires a contract with THM
- Proof of health and liability insurance is required.
Note: Completed vocational training also serves as proof of sufficient professional experience. THM regularly offers apprenticeships. This may be an alternative to an internship for you (§ 48 paragraph 6 sentence 1 and sentence 2 OAVO).
- Internship for the recognition of university entrance qualification (assistant professions)
- Please include a school certificate with your application, which proves that this is a mandatory internship based on examination regulations (§ 21 paragraph 1 sentence 3 and § 22 sentence 4 of the Ordinance on Training and Examination at Two-Year Higher Vocational Schools (Assistant Professions))
- The internship is full-time, lasts for six months, and requires a contract with THM
- Proof of health and liability insurance is required
In your application letter, please state your preferred department for your internship or at least mention your interests. This will help us process your application more efficiently. Don't forget to include the desired internship period in your application.
Please include any school documents or contract forms from the school with your application.
Once all the documents are available, the possibilities will be reviewed internally.

Vocational practical phase (BPP) at THM
Please address your application to the relevant Department or professor. Don't forget to include a current certificate of enrollment with your application.
If your BPP is approved by the Department , an application for a contract will be reviewed by the THM Human Resources department along with your application. A contract will be drawn up, which you must sign at the responsible Department before starting your BPP.
The basis for the contract is the examination regulations currently valid for your course of study.
