Enrollment for a dual study programme at ZDH - StudiumPlus
A dual Master's degree program at ZDH - Studium Plus is a fully accredited university degree combined with practical work experience. To enroll in a dual Master's program, you must first apply to a Studium Plus partner company or a new company , as you need to meet the respective admission requirements and simultaneously sign a study contract with a Studium Plus partner company .
After successful registration by the partner company with Studium Plus, you will receive a registration confirmation . You then need to register via the E-Campus and upload the registration confirmation.

Enrollment for the Midwifery Science degree programme
The dual study programme Midwifery Science Bachelor of Science was jointly developed by the Department Health ( Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen ), the Department of Medicine (Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen ) and the University Hospital Giessen and Marburg GmbH (UKGM - Standort Giessen ).
The degree program requires an application to the University Hospital Giessen and Marburg GmbH (UKGM - Giessen ). Information on the application process can be found here . Applicants who are successfully selected through the application process, have completed the hiring process with UKGM, and for whom a contract has been signed, must then enroll.
Enrollment takes place via the E-Campus all be submitted . The registration certificate is sent by the Department uploaded to E-Campus .
International applicants and persons with foreign university entrance qualifications
Persons with a foreign university entrance qualification as well as persons with a degree from a Studienkolleg (Feststellungsprüfung) who are not yet or have not been enrolled at THM apply via the uni assist online portal.
Enrollment with prior study periods
You can only re-enroll in the same degree programme for the first semester if you are no longer enrolled in the same programme at your previous university at the time you apply for enrollment at THM . Starting your studies in the same programme in the first semester is only possible with a valid certificate of deregistration from your previous university.

Before enrollment
Before you begin entering your data for online enrollment, you should read the additional information about the enrollment process. You may have questions beforehand about enrolling in an open-admission programme; this information can help you find answers to those questions.
Entry requirements
To enroll in a Bachelor's degree programme at universities of applied sciences (Fachhochschulen) in Hesse, you need one of the following university entrance qualifications:
- General University Entrance Qualification
- Subject-specific university entrance qualification
- a qualification recognized by the Hessian Ministry of Education as equivalent to the university entrance qualification
- University entrance qualification
- a successfully passed university entrance examination for professionally qualified applicants
- the master craftsman's certificate
- Completion of professional development training
- Graduation from an administrative and economics academy in conjunction with vocational training
- Intermediate school leaving certificate in combination with a completed, qualified 3-year vocational training with a final grade of 2.5 or better
Certificates of university entrance qualification from other federal states
university of applied sciences entrance qualification, acquired in the upper secondary level of a Gymnasium (academic high school), is mutually recognized in all German states except Bavaria and Saxony vocational experience .
Whether your certificate is recognized in Hesse by a resolution of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs is usually indicated by a corresponding note on the certificate. If
your certificate only contains a note such as "...this certificate entitles you to study at a university of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg..." State School Authority for the Darmstadt-Dieburg district well in advance of enrollment . There, you can apply for a certificate confirming the equivalence of your qualification with the Hessian university of applied sciences entrance qualification.
Enrollment deadlines
The following deadlines apply to open-admission Degree Courses :

Enrollment in an open-admission study programme consists of submitting the enrollment data via online data entry and uploading various documents in PDF or JPG format.
Applications for enrollment that are submitted without a file upload must be excluded from the enrollment process.
Who can enroll?
Provided that the admission requirements are met and the application for enrollment, together with the associated documents and evidence, is received by the university in the correct form and on time, the applicant will receive
- Prospective students with German university entrance qualifications;
- German students (persons with German university entrance qualifications but without German citizenship);
- International applicants (outside the EU) as well as persons with a degree from a Studienkolleg (Feststellungsprüfung) who are or were already enrolled at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen and wish to change their course of study;
a place in the first semester of one of the Degree Courses without admission restrictions.
Second degree
Prospective students who have already successfully completed a degree at a German university with a final examination and wish to pursue a second degree can also enroll in an admission-free degree programme in the first semester.
Enrollment with prior study periods in the same degree programme
Prospective students can only re-enroll in a comparable degree programme for the first semester if they are no longer enrolled in the same THM at their previous university at the time of application. In this case, enrollment in the same programme for the first semester is only possible with a valid certificate of deregistration from the previous university.
A " content-wise comparable course of study " within the meaning of Section 63 Paragraph 2 No. 6 of the Hessian Higher Education Act (HessHG) is a course of study with
- same name
- the same number of curricularly allocated credit points,
- same structure (comparable course and layout, same target group) and
- same degree (Bachelor's or Master's - the degree titles BA, B.Sc., B.Eng. or MA, M.Sc., M.Eng. do not have to be identical)
understood.
Example:
Mr. S. applies for enrollment at THM In order for Mr. S. to enroll in the THM in the first semester, he must first apply for deregistration from Philipps University of Marburg and deregister before August 22, 2017. In this case, the deregistration cannot take effect only at the end of the summer semester 2017, i.e., on September 30, 2017. The deregistration date must be before August 22, 2017. The deregistration certificate must be submitted to THM .
Enrollment with prior study periods in another degree programme (change of degree programme)
Prospective students can enroll for the first semester if they have already completed prior studies in another degree programme and now wish to change their programme. Enrollment in a different degree programme in the first semester is possible in this case if a certificate of deregistration from the previous university is submitted along with the enrollment documents for THM .
Example:
Ms. W. has been studying Mechanical Engineering for three semesters at RheinMain University of Applied Sciences and wishes to transfer to the Energy Technology Bachelor's program at THM During her online enrollment at THM , she also uploads a certificate of deregistration from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences, effective March 31, 2018.

Degree Courses
International applicants
German and international prospective students with foreign university entrance qualifications who are not currently enrolled at THM cannot enroll directly at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen . Therefore, a separate application via uni-assist required.

higher semester
Prospective students who wish to begin or continue their studies in a higher semester due to prior study experience must apply separately. Direct enrollment in a higher semester is not possible.

Master and Professional Development sstg.
Prospective students wishing to enroll in a consecutive Master's, Professional Development , or distance learning program must apply for a place. Specific conditions apply. Information regarding the application process and deadlines, among other things, can be found directly via the links provided for the respective Degree Courses .
NC Degree Courses
For Degree Courses with restricted admission, you must apply for a place in advance. Information on applying for a place in a restricted-admission program can be found here .
Enrollment of minors
Enrolling in a university programme not only grants students rights but also entails responsibilities. Exercising these rights and responsibilities requires submitting declarations and statements. Simultaneously, the university must communicate its decisions in the aforementioned matters.
In view of the shortened school hours, it is necessary that, in the case of the enrollment of a minor prospective student, due to their limited legal capacity, the declaration of consent of at least one parent or guardian is given.
Additionally, at the end of the enrollment process, you must upload the consent form , signed by a parent or guardian, via the file upload function.
The declaration of consent includes the following rights and obligations during the course of study:
- A proper course of study requires enrollment (matriculation) in a degree programme at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen as well as regular, semester-by-semester re-registration.
- The semester fee must be paid upon enrollment and re-registration.
- In the Degree Courses at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen students must attend courses and pass examinations to obtain their degree. Depending on the degree programme, course attendance may also include participation in laboratory experiments.
- Students are entitled to use the university library and the IT services of the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen . Use of these IT services includes unrestricted internet access.
- If the outcome of an examination is not as expected by the students, there is the possibility of inspecting the examination files and initiating an internal review.
- Students can elect representatives to the university's self-governing bodies and be elected themselves.
- Students have access to the university sport facilities.
The declaration of consent does not include
- the change of study programme,
- the deregistration from the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen ,
- participation in external events and excursions,
- Applications for extensions of examination deadlines,
- Conclusion of contracts as student assistants,
- a necessary refund of semester fees.
In these cases, separate consent may need to be submitted on a case-by-case basis.
Online data entry and document upload
Before you start entering your data for online enrollment, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the enrollment process.
Enrollment process
The matriculation process basically consists of data entry during online matriculation and document upload in the e-campus.
The following steps are required for enrollment:
- Registration in the THM application portal "E-Campus" : By providing your personal and contact information, you complete your registration and will receive an email with a link to activate your account. Follow the instructions in this email. Please note that only one registration per person is possible.
THM students should log in directly THM application portal THM user ID and password. "E-Campus" . Registration as an "applicant" is not necessary. - Data entry and photo upload in the THM application portal “E-Campus”: After you have provided all the required information and uploaded your photo for your enrollment, you submit your data to THM “Save and continue to document upload” .
- Payment request: After submitting your data, print out the PDF payment request for the semester fee "Print semester fee statement"
- Document upload: An enrollment is only complete and can be processed once the required documents have been uploaded.
- Your enrollment is being processed: While your enrollment is being processed, you will receive email notifications THM
Regardless, you can track the status of your enrollment at any time via your account in the THM application portal "E-Campus" . - Enrollment confirmation: After your enrollment application and payment of the semester fee have been received, you will receive via the e-campus platform approximately 2 to 3 weeks . You can then activate your student account and access your enrollment certificate and TAN list.
- Chip card: You will receive an email notification when your student ID card (chip card) is ready and you can pick it up at the THM InfoCenter at your study location. Students beginning their dual studies with StudiumPlus will be informed separately. Collection is only possible upon presentation of a valid photo ID.
Checklist for document upload
- If applicable, a declaration of consent from the parent or guardian is required for the enrollment of minors.
- a full university entrance qualification (e.g. A-levels or university of applied sciences entrance qualification)
- Signed study agreement for enrollment based on a university entrance qualification within the framework of a secondary school leaving certificate in conjunction with a completed, qualified 3-year vocational training (completion after 01.01.2011) with a final grade of 2.5 or better
- For enrollment in the Digital Media Systems degree program: proof of participation in the study orientation procedure.
- For enrollment in Studium Plus: The registration confirmation for the chosen course of study.
- Upon enrollment in the Midwifery Science program: The registration certificate from the Department of Health
- If applicable, a certificate confirming the duration of attendance at a preparatory college (number of semesters)
- a copy of your valid identity card or passport (if you have dual nationality, you only need to prove the nationality you first stated)
- Certificate(s) of deregistration and, in addition, certificate(s) of enrollment, transcript of records, or certificate(s)
If you have already been enrolled at several universities or in several Degree Courses and/or universities of applied sciences, please provide proof of deregistration for each institution of study. The certificate(s) should contain the following information: number of semesters completed at the university, semesters studied, degree program or Degree Courses with the degree title (if enrolled in several Degree Courses at one university), and, if applicable, semesters on leave. If this information is not included in the certificate(s) of deregistration, please also submit the corresponding certificates of enrollment, transcripts of records, or certificates of study duration. - Proof of completed first degree:
If enrolling in a second degree program , please include, for example, your Bachelor's degree certificate. The degree program, the degree achieved, the grade, and the examination date must be clearly stated on the degree document. If you hold multiple degrees (e.g., Bachelor's and Master's degrees), you must submit the corresponding degree documents for each successfully completed program.
Semester fee
The semester fee must be paid to THM in advance for enrollment, as enrollment immediately grants you a place in your desired course of study, provided you meet the admission requirements.
For the summer semester 2026, please pay the amount of
357,10 €
as a semester fee. This consists of the fees for the semester ticket (RMV and NVV), the student union, the student body and the administrative costs.
Enrollment can only take place once you have paid the semester fee.

Health insurance from 01.12.2021
To be eligible to study at THM , you must provide proof of health insurance upon enrollment. Individual consultations and the provision of information are handled directly by the health insurance providers.
Please note that your health insurance company will now only send notifications to the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen digitally. THM will also transmit the notification to your health insurance company via its Digital services .
If you lack proof of health insurance coverage, enrollment at our university is not possible.
If you have statutory health insurance, we need:
- An electronic notification from your health insurance company regarding your insurance status.
Please inform your health insurance company that you wish to enroll Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen
If you are not covered by statutory health insurance, we need:

to transmit information about your insurance status ("exempt from insurance, exempt from compulsory insurance or not subject to compulsory insurance") to the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen
Applicants from an EU/EEA member state must also contact their health insurance provider and inform them of their intention to study at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen .
If there are any changes to your health insurance, you must immediately inform your current health insurance provider so that they can forward this information to the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen . Otherwise, you may be denied enrollment or further studies.
Note regarding dual enrollment
In principle, it is possible to study two Degree Courses (double degree) simultaneously.
Double degree programme with two Degree Courses at THM
If you are planning to pursue a double degree, please indicate this during online enrollment. No additional fees apply; the semester fee only needs to be paid once to THM .
Double degree at two different universities
If you are planning a dual degree programme with one course at THM and one at another university, please note that you must pay the full semester fee at both institutions. There is no additional administrative fee. In this case, please upload a current certificate of enrollment in the "other documents" field and inform us of your intention to enroll at both universities via the comment function.

Status information:
You can check the processing status of your enrollment at any time via your user account in the THM application portal. Simply log in to your user account.
You will be notified of any changes to your enrollment status via email. Therefore, please check your emails regularly (including your spam folder).
Correcting/supplementing/replacing documents:
Should the Student Services Office identify any deficiencies during the review of your enrollment documents, you will be notified via the THM application portal "E-Campus" .
Log in to the THM application portal to see which errors or deficiencies were identified in your enrollment. You will be informed of any changes to your enrollment status via email. Therefore, please check your emails regularly (including your spam folder).
You can complete the document upload until the end of the enrollment period. Please note the instructions in the comment field for each document that you need to submit.
Enrollment confirmation
Enrollment takes place approximately three weeks after all enrollment documents have been received completely and on time, and after verification of the admission requirements. You will then receive a notification via the e-campus. Immediately afterwards, you can activate your THMuser account and, for example, generate a certificate of enrollment.
You will receive an email notification when your student ID card (chip card) is ready and you can pick it up at the THM InfoCenter at your study location. Collection is only possible upon presentation of a valid photo ID. The chip card serves as your semester ticket (RMV and NVV ticket) and can also be topped up with credit for the cafeteria or photocopier.
Individuals starting their dual studies at StudiumPlus will be informed separately about collecting their student ID card (chip card).
