University profile

The Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen ( THM ) was founded in 1971 and is one of the largest German universities of applied sciences (HAW). With its total number of students, it holds a leading position among the five state-run HAWs in Hesse. Its practice-oriented study program profile is supported by twelve Departments and the dual study program " StudiumPlus ".

THM has its roots in central Hesse and, like its partners, operates in a supra-regional and international environment. The three campuses at the main locations Giessen , Friedberg, and Wetzlar are situated in Central Hesse – a region shaped by the Lahn River, just outside Frankfurt am Main, characterized by a high quality of life and economic strength.
