Further education for teachers to expand their professional consulting skills

THM offers tailored projects to support you in guiding your students through their university choices. Our professional development courses for teachers provide you with suggestions and practical tools for integrating university orientation into everyday school life. We define different thematic focuses for each course.

FIT - Friedberg Information Days

The Friedberg Information Days will prepare your students for choosing a course of study. We are conducting this event in cooperation with the State School Authority for the Hochtaunus and Wetterau districts. 

The target group is high school students and all other prospective students. At FIT – For Choosing a Course of Study, we want to introduce students to studying at THM in Friedberg. In parallel, there is a program for teachers offering a behind-the-scenes look at the Friedberg Departments.

The next information day for students, "FIT - For Choosing a Course of Study," will take place on November 10, 2026. The FIT-L teacher training course is temporarily suspended. Further information will be published here if necessary.

Knowledge about studying today

The School &THM contact point, in cooperation with Justus Liebig University Giessen offers regular opportunities to exchange ideas on the topic of "Knowledge about studying today". The meetings take place online.

The next exchange opportunity is expected to be offered in late autumn 2026.

About the event:

The transition from school to university presents not only students but also teachers with many challenges and questions. Some of these questions concern very individual topics, while others are classic questions such as "How does the application and selection process for a university place work?". With the exchange meeting "Knowledge about Studying Today," we want to offer teachers the opportunity to ask all their open questions about choosing a course of study, applying for a place, or studying at JLU and THM .

All teachers from grammar schools, vocational grammar schools, and technical colleges are invited. We also warmly welcome representatives from the two participating universities who are passionate about the topic of university guidance and who wish to engage intensively with the transition from school to university.
