purpose of processing

The photos and/or videos are used exclusively for public relations work by the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen . Your name will be saved together with the declaration of consent to the image recordings and will only be used to protect the rights to the aforementioned images.

Legal bases of processing

The processing of photos and/or videos (collection, storage, transfer to third parties and publication) takes place on the basis of the express consent of the person concerned in accordance with Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. The publication of selected image files in (print) publications of the THM as well as on its homepage or similar is necessary for the public relations work of the organizer and for information about studies and teaching and serves to protect legitimate interests, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Categories of recipients of the personal data

The photos and/or videos can be passed on to service providers for publication in connection with the creation of print products. This includes agencies and printers involved in the creation. For the purpose of publication on the Internet, they may be posted on the THM homepage and may be used for THM 's social media channels.

Duration of storage of personal data

Photos and/or videos taken for the purposes of public relations work by THM are stored for an indefinite period of time subject to the revocation of the consent of the person concerned.

Right of withdrawal with consent

The consent to the processing of the photos and/or videos can be revoked at any time for the future. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation is not affected by this.

If your personal data is processed, you as the data subject within the meaning of the GDPR have the following rights vis-à-vis the person responsible:

  • right to information,
  • right to rectification,
  • right to erasure,
  • right to restriction of processing,
  • right to withdraw your consent,
  • right to object to processing,
  • Right to data portability, in a commonly used, structured and machine-readable form

Rights and Complaints

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your place of residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement, if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the breaches the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

The supervisory authority to which the complaint was lodged will inform the complainant about the status and the results of the complaint, including the possibility of a judicial remedy under Art. 78 GDPR.

You have the right to complain to the responsible supervisory authority of the state of Hesse if you have any problems with data protection law.
