astronomy and astrophysics

Based on current events in the near and distant cosmos, topics are on the programme to introduce the basics of astronomy, but also to deal with demanding astrophysical questions. The event is open to students of all Degree Courses as well as guest auditors.

The public astronomy lectures by Prof. Dr. Johannes Ohlert at the Technical University in Friedberg. This summer semester, based on current events in the near and distant cosmos, the basics of astronomy as well as sophisticated astrophysical topics will once again be covered.

If the weather is suitable, the topics covered in the lecture will be deepened through practical observations with telescopes. The "Michael Adrian Observatory" of the Astronomy Foundation Trebur, which has one of the largest publicly accessible telescopes in Europe, is open to the participants. More information is available on its own home page.

The lecture does not require any prior knowledge of astronomy. In the summer semester, it starts on Thursday, April 23, at 3:40 p.m. in room A4.014 of the THM in Friedberg (Wilhelm-Leuschner-Str. 13). The follow-up events are there on Thursdays at the same time.
