What kind of support do you need?
Difficulties during your studies can take many forms. Studying can push you to your limits – hopefully only temporarily. We would like to support you with information and tips on how to find a solution.
You can find direct contact persons for the respective counseling services. If you can't find what you're looking for there, you can find contact persons at the central students advisory service who will work with you to develop an individual plan. All conversations are, of course, confidential!

Have you come to Germany to study and are having difficulty settling into your new surroundings (university, study location)? The International Office advises and supports international students with numerous questions. These include, for example, residency rights, finding accommodation, financing your studies, and settling in at the university or study location. Academic advising
Academic advising is offered by the Department 's faculty. They support students with questions regarding course design, study techniques, and specializations within the degree programme, and answer questions about specific course content in individual subjects. Doubts about the study
"Sometimes I think my studies aren't right for me at all. I'd rather study something else or maybe do an apprenticeship, but then I'd have this gap in my CV, and my parents wouldn't know about it yet. Besides, you always have this feeling of having somehow failed."
Perhaps you've had similar thoughts before. That's not unusual; it's perfectly normal to have doubts about yourself and your chosen field of study during your studies. However, if these doubts persist or even intensify over time, they can impact your academic success. Crisis management
University studies, as a (new) phase of life, can be associated with personal crises, stress, and (exam) anxiety. Learning and work difficulties can have a detrimental impact on daily life.
