Event Rules and Guidelines

The IBP programme events give participants an additional opportunity to establish important contacts. Events include field trips and various workshops such as "How can I find a part-time job?"

The number of places for some events is limited. In these cases places are reserved on a first come first serve basis

  • Commitment and reliability: Sign up in time to be part of the event. Please let us know if you have to cancel on short notice due to illness
  • Please be fair towards the other participants: If for any reason you are not able to attend, then please inform us as soon as possible (at least three days before the start of the event)
  • If you fail to deregister by the time stipulated, you will not be allowed to go on the next field trip

Is there a fee for taking part in an event?
Most events for IBP participants are free of charge. Some events, however, do require a small participation fee and may require that participants provide their own food and drinks. Your registration for an event is not valid until payment is received.

How do I register for an event?
There is a registration deadline for each event (normally three days before the start of the event).  You must register for program events in person at the International Office.

How can I withdraw from an event?
If you cannot take part in an event, please notify the organizer at least three days prior to the start of the event. Participation fee refunds are no longer possible after this time period.
