Erasmus +
If you are planning a stay abroad with the Erasmus+ programmeme, you can apply for a financial grant for a stay with child/ren.
BAföG abroad
You can apply for BAföG for a stay abroad. If this is approved, you will receive a flat-rate childcare allowance.
Child Benefit
There is silence Eligibility to child benefit if the stay abroad is part of the student's education and the student then returns to Germany.
If the student himself/herself is still under 25 years of age, the parents' eligibility to child benefit also continues for the period abroad.
The allowance that you receive in Germany for kindergarten costs (income-dependent) cannot be taken abroad. The German office does not cover childcare costs abroad.
