What to be aware of when entering Germany
Please be aware of the new regulations for travelers to Germany. All travelers entering Germany are obligated upon entry to present proof of the absence of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Proof is shown through an official test result, proof of vaccination or recovery.

If you are planning a visit to Germany, please contact the German embassy / consular representative immediately to find out what the current regulations are for entering Germany.
Flight entry
Already at check-in at the point of departure. You must be able to present proof of the absence of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 Coronavirus. Proof is shown through an official test result, proof of vaccination or recovery.
Classification of risk areas (high-risk areas, areas of variants of concern) (as of March 3, 2022)
No states/regions are currently considered areas of risk.

When do I have to arrive in the country?
In case of mandatory quarantine regulations for traveling to Germany, please be aware of the following information: All students who have been accepted to study within the scope of the collaboration between their home university and Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences, in the spring term 2022, are allowed and need to arrive BEFORE the start of the semester. Quarantine regulations are dependent upon where you have spent time before entering Germany.
Travel Health Insurance
We also highly recommend that you take out a travel health insurance (including return transport) for your inbound and outbound journey. During the semester, you will be covered by a student health insurance. Travel health insurance is not sufficient during the semester.
